The diagram below shows our process for moving suggestions through to recommendations.
We start with a proposed data architecture for the ideal Smart Neuro ICU: one that would provide seamless connectivity of data and applications to enable precision management of patients. Through moderated discussions on this website we address specific topics that do not exist (gaps) or topics that need improvement. Through surveys and other means our stakeholders provide a consensus for each topic. In some cases this will be design features such as for data archiving. In other cases, it will lead to a standardized data dictionary. From this consensus recommendations can be written to guide best practices, clinical trials, industry, funding and government agencies. Likewise, projects are identified to validate and complete the architecture. These projects can be submitted for funding either within the group or outside of the group. An overarching goal of the group is to ensure individual projects can “play together” in a connected environment.
