Cerebral Blood Flow Perfusion

Status Exists in IEEE
Category Brain Perfusion
Common Name Cerebral Blood Flow Perfusion
Label CBF
Description Cerebral blood flow to the brain; blood supply to the brain in a given period of time.
Background Cerebral perfusion is a high flow, low pressure system with relatively preserved diastolic flow. This can be appreciated by comparing Doppler waveforms from cerebral vessels with systemic vessels; the ratio of diastolic to systolic flow is much higher for the cerebral circulation.
